Changes in responsibility: dialogue between jurists and civil society
This new project, launched in 2017 and hosted by the Sorbonne institute of legal and philosophical science (Institut des sciences juridique et philosophique de la Sorbonne), follows up on the scientific collaboration of Alliance-Respons, the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation, and the Collège de France’s Social State and Universalization Chair.
Luca d’AMBROSIO, mars 2018
In the wake of the scientific collaboration of the Alliance, the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation, and the Collège de France’s Social State and Universalization Chair, a new project was launched in 2017 under the coordination of Luca d’Ambrosio, in charge of research at the Collège de France, and Kathia Martin-Chenut, in charge of research at the French national research center, CNRS. The project, hosted by the Institut des sciences juridique et philosophique de la Sorbonne, will be deployed through two main actions:
1) Dissemination via the Alliance resource Web site of educational info sheets on themes related to responsibility, available in French, English, and Spanish, which will cover various publications on the subject of responsibility in which those in charge of the project have participated:
-
Prendre la responsabilité au sérieux (Taking responsibility seriously) (ed. Alain Supiot and Mireille Delmas-Marty), PUF, 2016.
-
Développement durable : Mutations ou métamorphoses de la responsabilité ? (Sustainable development: Changes or metamorphoses in responsibility?), (ed. Kathia Martin-Chenut and Rene de Quenaudon), Pedone, 2016.
-
La RSE saisie par le droit : perspectives interne et internationale (CSR referred to law: domestic and international outlooks) (ed. Kathia Martin-Chenut and Rene de Quenaudon), Pedone, 2016.
-
Dynamiques normatives du principe de précaution et métamorphoses de la responsabilité juridique (The normative dynamics of the precautionary principle and the metamorphoses of legal responsibility (ed. Luca d’Ambrosio), Mare & Martin, 2017, forthcoming.
-
La responsabilité solidaire (Solidarity-based responsibility), (ed. Alain Supiot), Collège de France Collection, 2017, forthcoming.
2) Organization of a workshop (side event) at the next climate summits
Following up on a first workshop on corporate and investors’ responsibility organized during the first climate non-state actors’ summit held in Nantes in September 2016, this action will materialize in the organization of a workshop in collaboration with Alliance members during the next climate summits (Climate Chance 2017 in Marrakech, COP23 in Bonn). A first preparatory meeting is planned on May 3, 2017 at the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation.
