The document gives a presentation of the PHILIPPINE SOLIDARITY ECONOMY FORUM (PSEF)took place in the University of the Philippines. This event was organised by Asian Solidarity Economy Council (ASEC)-Philippines, RIPESS Asia, U.P. College of Social Work & Community Development.
The Objectives was :
• To demonstrate through concrete examples the concept and practice of social solidarity economy (SSE), social business, social enterprise and social entrepreneurship as a vehicle for community empowerment and in addressing poverty and inequality in the Philippines.
• To draw lessons on the role of SSE in the realization of the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.
• To discuss a Charter of SSE that will guide SSE stakeholders in ASEAN member countries in the transition to sustainable societies.
